Update: I created a 2018 version! Just click the link at the bottom of the post.
Happy New Year! I hope you had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. It’s always a little sad to see another year go by in a flash, but I am also excited to see what the new year will bring for me and my family.
A few years ago on Pinterst, I saw a Memory Jar and loved the idea. I pinned it, but never did anything else with it. For 2017 I have decided that I am finally going to bring that idea to life for my family and I, and today I am sharing some great printables so that you can join me too! Have you heard of a Memory Jar? The idea is to write down favorite memories throughout the year and place them inside the memory jar. Are you ready to create your very own ‘Best of 2017: 2017 Memory Jar’?
I am planning on placing our jar somewhere that we see it often. That way it will hopefully remind us to write down those special events of 2017. I am also planning on printing out several sheets of my memory cards and placing them next to the jar.
Best of 2017: 2017 Memory Jar
What do you think of a memory jar? I have created 2 different sized labels and matching memory cards for you to print out and use (link below). I found our jar at Target, but (affiliate links ahead) here is a cute one from Amazon. Once I had our jar, I got to work creating a cute jar label. I then printed it out onto white sticker paper. I like to use these Avery 8.5 X 11″ shipping label sheets. That is a pack of 100, but you can find smaller packs as well.
Once my label was printed, I placed it on the jar. I then printed out sheets of my cards onto plain paper and cut them out.
Over time, your jar will begin to fill up with memories. At the end of the year, you can take some time to pull out each memory and reminisce.
I hope you enjoy my Best of 2017 jar idea, and use it for you and your family. I would love to hear if you do, so leave us a comment letting us know. Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!
